    ChickenQue Logo 1-13
We are busily planning for the big event on May 7th! We've listened to your feedback.  There will be exciting changes to the venue, hands on activities for the kids, 4-H Club and community organization booths, and the Chicken Run is back!
Promoting the event is our top priority. Please share your love for 4-H while selling tickets to family, friends and the public. Encourage them to attend and learn about 4-H programs and the leadership opportunities available. Online ticket sales will be available this year.  Online ticket purchases can be credited to your 4-H Club. If you have other media connections that ChickenQue might utilize, please contact Fred Frey, Event Chair Visit http://www.sonomacountychickenque.com to learn more about this great event!

T-SHIRTS:  The CQ T-shirt winner will be chosen at the February CCC meeting, please watch for the official announcement and the T-Shirt order form.  T-shirt orders must be in by March 23.  Shirts ordered through your club will be given to Club ChickenQue Reps on April 27th.
POSTER CONTEST: The committee is now taking entries for the poster contest, we encourage all members to participate and create unique posters that spread the word about our event.
FAIR APPRECIATION DAY:  Come to Fair Appreciation Day on April 9th at the fairgrounds!  A link to online registration will be emailed to you February 15th.  This is our way of thanking the Sonoma County Fairgrounds for allowing us to hold the ChickenQue at their facility for free.  We are the only non-profit they do this for.  The Sonoma County Fairgrounds has long been a supporter of the 4-H experience here in Sonoma County. In appreciation and recognition of this special 56-year relationship, we want to give back to the Fairgrounds by holding a workday. There will be organized projects for all ages. Our workday will start at 9:00AM and conclude at 12:00PM with BBQ provided by the fair board from 12-1PM.

    Chicken Run Details are attached.

The next Chickeque Rep meeting is February 23, 7pm at the 4-H Center. We will be distributing CQ tickets to the clubs.

As of January 1, 2017, all medically-important antibiotics for use in or on feed and in water now require a veterinary feed directive (VFD) or a prescription this new requirement will affect many livestock producers including 4-H members. The state 4-H Office, in coordination with UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Extension, and the California Department of Food and Agriculture will be presenting One-hour webinars on multiple dates to explain the new regulation and their implications. Please see the 4-H website at http://4h.ucanr.edu/ for information about the webinars and resource links.

  • Artful Arrangements is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit, that is rooted in agriculture. The Mission is to find ways for parents and children to spend a little time together - for much needed joy and connection - that are affordable, convenient, fast and fun. The Reason is because we believe young families are short on both time and resources. The Logic is that the values of good manners, social skills and respect for elders are passed fromparentstochldren, a little here, a little there. Our signature Activity is having the parent help their child make an artful plant arrangement.
