Climate Smart Agriculture addresses the threats climate changes poses to the agriculture industry.

The California Department of Food and Agriculture's CSA programs provide funding to farmers and ranchers to assist them in implementing practices that build resiliency to climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

AMP

non-digester manure management practices (conversion from flush to scrape, solid separation, compost bedded pack barns) that reduce greenhouse gas emissions for up to $750,000.

HSP

conservation practices (compost, mulching, cover crops, hedgerows) that sequester carbon, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve soil health for up to $100,000

irrigation systems (micro to drip, solar energy) that reduce greenhouse gases and save water for up to $200,000.
