I currently have three industry funded PhD scholarships that I'm seeking to find students for in the following areas below:
- Identifying the key soil, water and crop sensing, and forecasting parameters for the proper implementation of automated irrigation systems in strategically ponded rice cropping.
- Integrating sensor networks and big data for the implementation of automated irrigation systems in irrigated rice cropping systems.
- Monitoring and managing aquatic weeds in irrigation channels
All offer a $30K/pa tax free stipend for the three year duration of the PhD and more details are in the attachment. They are all industry funded and based in Griffith, NSW, Australia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3b5voDbY00. I think the PhD's are a great opportunity to work in areas of irrigation water management that have global significance/relevance. If you know of any students that maybe interested could you please let them know of the opportunity. For further information please contact me directly, details below.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers John
