Sheep Dog trials approach at Hopland

Nov 2, 2012

The United States Border Collie Handler's Association will be holding another sanctioned "Open Trial" on the weekend of November 10 and 11 at the UC Hopland Research & Extension Center.  The public is welcome to attend as spectators on those days from 8:00AM until 5:00PM.

The USBCHA is the sanctioning body for sheep and cattle dog trials throughout the United States and Canada.  The USBCHA allows members who qualify at such sanctioned "Open Trial" events throughout the year to then attend the USBCHA National Sheep and Cattle Dog Finals to determine the champion Open dog and handler for that year.

The UC Hopland USBCHA "Open" event is always enjoyed by many dog handlers and spectators due to great competition, gorgeous views, and good 4-H food.  Sorry ...non-competing dogs are not allowed at the event.
