4-H Online Enrollment Resources

FOR YOUTH

Youth are eligible to participate in 4-H if they meet the following criteria:

• Primary Member: Must be 5 years old on or before December 31, 2023. Youth who turn 9 on or after January 1, 2024 must participate as a primary member until the end of the program year.
• Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Members: Must be 9 years old on or before December 31, 2023. Youth may join if they are not 19 years old on or before December 31, 2023. Youth who turn 19 and who are already a 4-H member may continue capstone activities through December 31, 2024.

Youth Member Enrollment Process

For Adults

Thank you for your interest in continuing as a 4-H adult volunteer. As a volunteer, you will play an important role in the development of young people, helping them to identify their spark and develop the skills and positive outcomes that lead to thriving. We look forward to working with you as a valuable asset to the 4-H Youth Development Program. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

All new and returning volunteer applications are processed through their local county Cooperative Extension office. The Regional Program Coordinator approves applications to become a 4-H volunteer in the county. You must complete all application requirements, including the screening process and required trainings, before you are approved.
