A big thank you to the following clubs who volunteered to complete a Community Service project for the organization, “Starcross.” Lytton Springs, Warm Springs, Penngrove, Independence, Alexander Valley, Golden Hills, Sequoia and Sonoma Valley. If you haven't returned the completed twistees yet, please bring them to the Nov 3 CCC meeting.

Thank you!

On November 20th from 6-9pm, 4-H teens will be gathering from near and far at the 4-H Center, to have dinner, watch a movie and plan some teen events for the year. Come join the fun! See attached flier here as well as November newsletter

Our CQ activities have already begun! The popular T-Shirt drawing contest has been announced. The theme this year is Healthy Living. Please see the attached flier and get out your markers. Drawings due February 2nd, no exceptions.

Last year I was able to visit to visit 7 club meetings. I really enjoyed getting to know more people and seeing the club meetings in action. I will resume visits this fall and plan to continue until I can get around to all of the clubs. I look forward to visiting your club!

New Presentation Manual

The NEW Presentation Manual is here! The 4-H Presentation Manual (2015) is the consistent and standard guide for all 4-H presentations and will be adopted by all County, Sectional/Regional, and State 4-H Presentation Days. To view the new manual visit: http://4h.ucanr.edu/files/220608.pdf. In addition, example films for almost every category have been posted at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmPu2m62SYPOC--sIOjud51n7aNqyVBmh

This past Saturday I attended the implementation roll-out meeting to learn about the new state level Volunteer Management Organization.

You can listen to the recorded meeting or view the Powerpoint presentation on the State website at http://4h.ucanr.edu/Get_Involved/4-H_Futures_Task_Force/

In a nutshell, nothing will change at the County level. The reorganization will happen at the sectional level. Sonoma County will no longer be part of the North Central Section. Moving forward we will be part of the Bay Area/Central Coast area. Sonoma County is the northern most county, running south and including Santa Barbara. The 3 other area will be North, Central and South. The previous management system of the Sectional Councils will no longer exist after July 1. It will be replaced by a Statewide Management Board that consists of volunteers and teens. ~Judy
