Web UI/UX Specialist and Production Coordinator - Statewide IPM (Davis, CA)

The Statewide IPM Program reports to the UC Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR). The unit develops and administers programs in integrated pest management extension through a communications unit and Cooperative Extension advisors that develops informational products for print and the Web.

As part of the Production and Information Technology team, this position's responsibilities include 1) designing and developing visual electronic communications for the web 2) coordinating and enhancing Production & IT publishing process 3) working with management to maintain, updating and ensuring that all products adhere to the IPM style guide and industry standard UI/UX practices.

This position requires a high degree of knowledge with current web full stack development technologies with expertise in UI/UX standards and experience developing with front end technologies such as HTML, JSON, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS, and/or React.js. Must be able to problem-solve unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structures that frequently require independent analysis. Be able to manage projects that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources and functions with a high degree of autonomy.

Works independently to develop and maintain complex web sites, web products and develop, enhance, and maintain a variety of digital properties that could have significant impact to a broad audience and with a high consequence of error. Mentor less experienced staff. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
